I think I can help you if you post the file with all the lines. Like Visual Novel projects, they usualy have a wiki page with all the lines broken into fragments.
If you psot the un-translated lines, I’m sure many people can offer to help translate to speed up the process.
While I realize it may be quicker to release this way, I do not plan on doing this.
The reasons being numerous. Basically, I’m doing this mostly as a personal project. It’s a ‘me’ thing. Also, I’m kinda sketchy on trusting other people’s translations, y’know? Umm… I’ve worked on a number of translation projects that have all used the model you’re proposing and like… They’ve all fallen apart. Basically, one person doesn’t pull their weight, then the others get daunted by how much EXTRA work they now have to do when the one person finally says “Hey guys, I can’t do it” after putzing around forever saying “I’ll get to it tomorrow…” And like… Then the project dies. I know I can get this done if I work it alone.
On my next project (which will be either Arabians Lost, Kaitou Rousseau, or Growlanser PSP depending on which I can get someone to hack. Or a much smaller project that will only realistically take me a week or two to complete) I fully intend to at least try to get multiple translators. But as it stands, like I said, this is a person goal for me. Otome games have VOLUMES of text and I think it’d be an amazing accomplishment to finish translating one solo. Especially between languages as drastically different as English and Japanese. I appreciate the suggestion though, and if you are interested in helping me in any other project, shoot me another email asking for a test. I’ve organized translation projects before and have had to come up with a standard test just to make sure the person can handle the project.
I apologize if I sound overly formal here and I’m not my normal bubbly self. I’ve had a weird day ><.
If people are worried about how the project is moving, I estimate I'll be at least half way done by the end of the year. I plan to at least have the main script done by 2011. Maybe mid-2011. Then of course I have a lot of extra stuff like bios, etc, etc. Don't worry – I won't drop this project, but let's say something DOES happen and I have to drop off the face of the earth; I will release what I have done as open and happy and free and someone else can take over. I will also provide instructions on how to work the magic and… I dunno. I don't see this happening, to be entirely blunt. Slowly and steadily, I will get this project done.
Amazing! Already 60% on hacking! 8D Will this translation go through a beta testing phase? Some translations of games bug out when it comes to the menu translation.
I’m testing it myself as I go along =P. All we have left to do in terms of hacking are menus, names, and… That’s about it. So it might be a little more than 60% done hacking-wise. In terms of translation it’s about… 3-4% I’d say as of a couple days ago.
Hi! I was looking for a translation for this game. The first time I was able to know about this game is when I saw a video of the PC version (i think) of this game. I was kind of disappointed that I could never play this game since I don’t know how to read Japanese. Then I stumbled upon the this title in the DS, then stumbled upon this site during reasearching about this page. I’m so happy that you are translating this! Can’t wait for the finish product! I’m planning to learn Japanese in the future, hopefully I could help translate games like this to spread to the otome community!

I’ve been thinking about it. I also haven’t asked for donations since the initial release, nor has anyone given me any. So… Since I’m the only one translating this, I’d say… Deal with it? ^^
I really don’t think you should drop it. And I find the donations fine; you might need a few stuff for your life, and it’s people’s option whether they want to you give you or not. I would like to, I really would, but I’m a minor. OTL.
