A good friend of mine, also someone I’ve worked with in the past on fanlation stuff, floofy, is doing this Extra Life thing. She’s a hard core gamer… So this is kinda out of my realm. I promised I’d help her out as best I can (70 dollars in the hole, so I can’t exactly donate lol). When I brought up posting it on my blog here, she seemed into the idea. So, before I get a blissful two hours of sleep tonight, I figured I’d make a post and give you info on what’s going on and stuff ^^.
Basically, from what I can gather, this is a donation event where a bunch of people play video games and do commentary and stuff live and you donate money to them, 100% of which then gets donated to this charity called “Extra Life,” which helps children with various medical conditions (cancer’s the big one, I think). It’s a good cause. Nothing political or icky about saving kids~
Umm, I’m not sure what else to say. I’ll give you the links so you can find out more info about my friend’s group and the charity group the money goes to. So if you have any spare money or even a dollar or two you think is lying around in a coat pocket, go ahead and donate hehe ^^. If you donate, post in here, on the facebook, or tweet me or something and I’ll pass the word onto floofy. You don’t have to, but it’d make both of us feel more useful, prolly <3.
